It’s so easy to judge others, but even easier to judge ourselves, which I believe to be vastly overlooked. Often, we are our own worst critics, never taking the advice or positivity we give to others. We beat ourselves down and smash our hopes and ambitions into the dirt. We smile and pretend it is all okay, but inside, we are screaming for an answer. In the chaos, it can become so difficult to see the logical route that we lose our way completely. It’s easy to get lost in the swarming noise, to feel depleted, discouraged… We’ve all felt this at some point in our lives, whether we admit to it or not.

I refuse to pretend like everything is always okay. That’s so unrealistic. Life is difficult, but it also comes and goes, just like the seasons do. Because of this, even when I lack faith, I know in my heart that this cold season will pass for the earth AND myself. Spring will bring new life, new ideas, and new hope. In the meantime, I plan to rest during the transition of the times and try to give myself as much grace as possible.
